About PSSSB recruitment
The Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab (PSSSB), Van Bhawan, Sector-68, SAS Nagar (Mohali), recruits Group B, Group C and Group D staff for Punjab government departments: Clerks, Group D posts such as Sewadar and Chowkidar, Junior Engineers, Patwaris, Excise and Taxation Inspectors, Stenotypists and many more. Each advertisement has a number such as "Advt. No. 02 of 2026" and is published on sssb.punjab.gov.in.
Most PSSSB written tests have two parts: a qualifying Punjabi language paper, which you must pass before the rest of your paper is checked, and a merit paper on general knowledge, Punjab history and culture, reasoning, English, Punjabi and computers, with subject questions for technical posts. Clerical posts add a Punjabi and English typing test. The advertisement gives the exact pattern, so read it before you plan your preparation.
